Depth-Oriented Therapy for Curious Adults in Austin, Texas
You’ve worked so hard to finally feel and be better…
But no matter how hard you fight, nothing seems to truly change
You are more than the pain, problems, or expectations you've learned to carry.
There is a way forward.
A path toward truly living, rather than just surviving.
Therapy For…
-
Life is a constant battle to be perfect, pleasing, or good enough. Struggling to shape yourself into who others want you to be is an exhausting, never ending task. Plus, no matter what you seem to change or accomplish it never quite feels like enough.
Together, we will explore the messages you’ve heard about who you should be, while making space for the parts of you that have been silenced.
-
You’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, maybe you’ve even gone to therapy before. Perhaps you even are a therapist! You may know exactly where your struggles come from, but it hasn’t brought the peace, connection, or freedom you’re looking for.
You know there is something deeper going on — you just need help accessing it. Let’s dive in together and see what we find.
-
Trauma and loss leave echoes that can last a lifetime. We feel these remnants of the past in our relationships, bodies, and minds. The pain of the past can easily get trapped in our systems, leaving us feeling out of control and hopeless.
In our work together, we will reclaim your agency so you can cultivate a life that is truly yours in the present and future.
Hi, I’m Grace! (she/her)
-
I am a silly, curious, and creative human who adores this work. I have always had an insatiable need to understand myself and the world around me, so of course I became a therapist!
As a human, I am a multi-racial Asian American, which has shaped much of how I see identity and the world around me. I am also a lover of fantasy/sci-fi, the outdoors (specifically water), my cats, a lazy day on the couch, and music that makes me feel things.
-
The clients who love to work with me are often curious, self-aware adults who crave a space where they can let go, dive deep, and really experience the truth of their lives. Because I am a very abstract person, many of the clients who enjoy working with me identify as creative intellectuals who enjoy deep contemplation and/or abstract thought.
Almost all of my clients hold painful stories of trauma, loss, and/or emotional neglect that have shaped their lives. Many have often had negative experiences with seeking help before due to feeling misunderstood.
Many of my clients hold complex, marginalized identities that they have had to sacrifice or hide to stay safe, survive, and be loved. I often work with people who identify as people of color, immigrants, neurodiverse, or LGBTQ+.
-
I have a special place in my heart for depth-oriented, relational, and existential therapy that focuses on what happening underneath the “problem” in the unconscious. This means therapy with me can often take unexpected twists and turns. It is normal that you might come in thinking of one issue and find that we end up in an entirely different place through our work. I am a very abstract person, so generally sessions can get quite creative.
I am a big believer that deep therapy does not have to be only painful. In fact, therapy with me is often very fun, light-hearted, and relaxed. Laughter, joy, and deep emotional processing are inextricably intertwined.
Areas of Focus
-
You have a deep feeling that you are not enough. Perhaps you’ve quietly wondered if you are really are just a bad person. You’ve spent your life chasing what might finally make up for this void, but no matter what it seems to catch up.
Together, let’s explore where this feeling comes from, while giving you a chance to feel how special you truly are.
-
You think and feel deeply — sometimes too much. While you love your capacity for depth, it can sometimes leave you feeling lost in storm of your own creation. Others struggle to understand it as well.
Here, your depth will be appreciated and respected. We will help you harness it so that it can be the strength it is meant to be.
-
Always putting others first, striving to be “enough,” or feeling like failure isn’t an option can leave you exhausted and disconnected from yourself. You may know this isn’t sustainable, but still feel unsure what would happen if you stopped.
Therapy can help you begin to untangle the pressure to please, understand where it comes from, and reconnect with what you actually need. Together, we’ll create space for you to live in a way that feels authentic—not just acceptable to others.
-
You feel and see echoes of a painful past in your present. You feel trapped and all you want is to finally feel free from what has happened.
In our work, we will restore your sense of agency so you can find peace and freedom again in your body.
-
You’ve lost someone or something you deeply loved. The grief can feel overwhelming—like it comes in waves, or like it will never fully lift. You may find yourself wondering how to move forward, or if life will ever feel whole again.
In therapy, we’ll gently make space for your grief without rushing or minimizing it. Together, we’ll explore what this loss means for you now, honor what it has changed, and begin to discover who you are now.
-
Understanding who you are—and where you fit in the world—is not always straightforward. This can feel especially true if you hold multiracial, multicultural, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, or other identities that have been misunderstood, minimized, or not fully reflected in the spaces around you.
You may feel like you’ve had to adapt parts of yourself to belong, or that you’re still searching for places where you can be fully seen without explanation.
-
You never quite feel here. You can tell something is off, but you can’t quite put your finger on it. Nothing feels like how others think it should. Emotions are flat, thoughts are clouded, perhaps you even find you forget things you should remember.
Together, we will slow down to give you space to reconnect to your body and sense of aliveness.
How I Work
At the heart of my work is a deep belief in the importance and power of curiosity, compassion, and connection.
Together, we will move beyond problem solving and solutions to…
Reconnect to the parts of you you’ve had to push away to restore your sense of wholeness.
Rebuild your capacity to be with your emotions and body to heal the invisible wounds you carry.
Rediscover your authentic self and sense of purpose to build a life that is truly your own.

“I need the sea because it teaches me.
I don’t know if I learn music or awareness,
if it’s a single wave or its vast existence,
or only its harsh voice or its shining
suggestion of fishes and ships.
The fact is that until I fall asleep,
in some magnetic way I move in
the university of the waves.”
-Pablo Neruda, The Sea
