Trauma Therapy for Insightful Thinkers and Deep Feelers in Austin, Texas
|
Discover What is Underneath the Chaos.
You've Spent Years Understanding Yourself.
You've read the books, listened to the podcasts, and analyzed your patterns from every angle — anything to quiet down the anxiety, stress, and noise.
Yet you still feel trapped in the same storm of feelings and thoughts.
Maybe You Don't Need More Insight.
Maybe you need a space where you can finally be fully seen, understood, and supported. A place where you can slow down, finally feel what you’re holding, and begin to heal.
Here, your creativity, self-awareness, and complexity will be met with curiosity and delight, rather than fear and distance.
Areas of Focus
-
You’ve worked hard to understand yourself. That insight has helped—but it hasn’t brought the peace, connection, or freedom you’re looking for. Maybe in previous therapy you were told, “It sounds like you already understand yourself”, leaving you lost and frustrated.
You don’t just need a space to talk. You need a therapist who sees your self-awareness, curiosity, and intelligence as strengths rather than barriers—and who can help you go deeper.
In therapy, we’ll build a relationship where you can let your guard down, explore what’s underneath, and experience healing.
-
Trauma leaves echoes. Even when the danger has passed, the fear, shame, disconnection, or self-protection can remain. You see these patterns showing up in your life and relationships, and part of you wonders whether things can ever truly feel different.
There is hope for something else.
Together, we'll gently explore your story, honoring the ways you've learned to survive while making space for something more.
Healing doesn't mean forgetting the past. It means reclaiming your life from it.
-
Always putting others first, striving to be “enough,” or feeling like failure isn’t an option can leave you exhausted and disconnected from yourself. You may know this isn’t sustainable, but still feel unsure what would happen if you stopped.
Therapy can help you begin to untangle the pressure to please, understand where it comes from, and reconnect with what you actually need. Together, we’ll create space for you to live in a way that feels authentic—not just acceptable to others.
-
Understanding who you are—and where you fit in the world—is not always straightforward. This can feel especially true if you hold multiracial, multicultural, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, or other identities that have been misunderstood, minimized, or not fully reflected in the spaces around you.
You may feel like you’ve had to adapt parts of yourself to belong, or that you’re still searching for places where you can be fully seen without explanation.
In therapy, we’ll create a space where your identity is respected in its fullness. Together, we’ll explore your story, reconnect with your voice, and support a deeper sense of belonging—both within yourself and in your relationships and communities.
-
Many adults carry quiet struggles with shame and self-esteem, feeling like no matter what they achieve, it never quite feels like enough. You may find yourself holding yourself to high standards, yet still feeling like you fall short or that something about you is “not enough.”
In therapy, we’ll create a space to gently notice and soften those harsh inner voices, and begin to understand where they come from. Together, we’ll work toward building self-compassion, self-trust, and a more grounded sense of worth that isn’t dependent on constant striving.
-
You’ve lost someone or something you deeply loved. The grief can feel overwhelming—like it comes in waves, or like it will never fully lift. You may find yourself wondering how to move forward, or if life will ever feel whole again.
Whether you’re grieving a loved one, a relationship, a job, or another significant loss, your experience matters here.
In therapy, we’ll gently make space for your grief without rushing or minimizing it. Together, we’ll explore what this loss means for you now, honor what it has changed, and begin to discover who you are now.
Hi, I’m Grace! (she/her)
LPC Associate, Supervised by M. Michelle Hawn, MA, LPC-S
I’m a curious, reflective person who genuinely loves self-exploration, healing, and growth.
As a human, I can be found thinking way too much, listening to music that makes me feel things, and losing (or finding?) myself in creative fantasy and sci-fi worlds.
As a trauma therapist, I specialize in working with self-aware adults who crave a space that where they can dig deep and experience healing. People who want a space where they feel understood, and also gently challenged—not like they’re just talking to a wall.
I know firsthand how hard it can be to find a therapist who actually fits you.
If we’re a good fit, I’d love to work together. If not, I’ll still happily help you find someone who is.
How I Work
At the heart of my work is a deep belief in the healing power of curiosity, compassion, and connection.
Together, we will move beyond problem solving and…
Reconnect to the parts of you you’ve had to push away to restore your sense of wholeness.
Rebuild your capacity to be with your emotions and body to heal the invisible wounds you carry.
Rediscover your authentic self and sense of purpose to build a life that is truly your own.
